The Larson Lawyers team currently consists of four lawyers dedicated to practicing in various areas. We also have several amazing support staff who assist both the lawyers and our clients.

How does one summarize a legal career over 5 decades which Rene started at Osgoode Hall Law School at York University in Toronto in 1970!
Prior to that, Rene attended Lakehead University for an Honours Economics degree. Rene is quite familiar with Northwestern Ontario as he was born and raised in Kenora before the family moved to Thunder Bay to complete his high school at Port Arthur Collegiate, which is now the home of Bora Laskin Law School.
Rene’s heart is in his individual personal service to clients – he is as accessible as his cell phone at 807-632-7650 where you can call or text anytime. Rene responds quickly to your questions and will travel to house calls and hospital visits or wherever you need accessible services.
Rene’s strength is his inquisitive mind and a deep desire to find the best possible solutions to your legal problems. You will have the benefit of his experiences in law and civic values in dealing with governments and civil servants.
Rene celebrates his 50th year of call to the Ontario bar on March 21, 2025. While a lawyer he has served on Thunder Bay City Council for four terms, and assisted multiple municipal governments in legal issues including land development and employment law.
Primary areas of practice include estate planning, wills, powers of attorney, trusts, real estate buying, selling and mortgaging including land development work on splitting lots through the Committee of Adjustment, planning subdivisions and condominiums, and rezoning and official plan amendments. Corporate and commercial legal work is essential to Rene’s practice. Litigating or going to court in the above legal areas may be required to find solutions for clients.
Rene’s passions outside the office include a daily personal fitness regime for the body to be able to support all the mental activities above!

Olivia Pietrangelo attended Algoma University in Sault Ste. Marie, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science (honours) cum laude in Biology. Afterward, she attended law school at Lakehead University’s Bora Laskin Faculty of Law and graduated in May 2020.
Olivia was then called to the Ontario Bar on October 30, 2020. Recently, Olivia Pietrangelo purchased a farm outside Thunder Bay. Because of this, if you ask for a house call in Nolalu or Kakabeka Falls, it will probably be her who comes out.

Lydia Leroux was born and raised in Thunder Bay. She graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Arts from Lakehead University before moving to Kingston to complete her law degree at Queen’s University.
Lydia articled and worked at a Southern Ontario law office before joining our team, and she was called to the Ontario Bar in 2021.
When not in the office Lydia enjoys playing card games, the outdoors, and spending time with her beagle and two cats.

Danielle was born and raised in Kenora. She then moved to Thunder Bay in 2002.
She joined our firm in 2021 as our Receptionist after 25 years in the customer service industry.
After work In her spare time, Danielle enjoys walking, reading, cooking, gardening and spending time with her dog Sophie.

Marcy was born and raised in Thunder Bay. She then joined our team in 2021 bringing with her 5 years of experience in the Customer Service Industry.
She is one of our Real Estate Clerks. After you retain our office, Marcy will assist with the preparation of our purchase, sale and refinance transactions.
After work In her spare time she enjoys camping, travelling, and tending to her large office plant collection.
Marcy also has a fur baby, Phoebe the Calico cat, which she rescued in 2021.
